Goal Setting

Well, we decided it was time to set some new goals for our family. We went through financial goals and spiritual goals last night, and tonight we will be writing down our physical, intellectual, and couples goals.
I really wanted to organize things in my life better so I went and purchased a big calendar to put on our wall where I could write EVERYTHING down. I would like to start planning dinner for the week as well so I can go grocery shopping and get it all in one trip. I also want to plan my days so that I'm not sitting at home everyday couped up. I'm going to figure out which day to go to the library, go grocery shopping, go on the walking trail through town, etc.. This way I can take the "thinking" out of my week :)
Another new goal I've set is to start my workouts! I started Friday going to my mom and dad's house to workout in their gym in the garage. Its been great so far because I feel so good when I'm done and it makes me more conscious about what I'm eating throughout the rest of the day. I just set Bruin down next to me when I'm on the treadmill and he seems to like the rhythmic sound and either falls asleep or just stares at me as I run.

Anyways I'm really motivated right now and I hope I stay this way cuz I hate when I get excited and make goals and then I just fizzle out.

Hey Holly,

Your little family is so cute. Whenever I'm pregnant, I dream of the day I can exercise again. And when that day comes, I dream of the day I have an excuse to stop. :)

In answer to your question, my kids didn't really start day napping well until about 5 or 6 months old. The important thing is for you to remain consistent and keep offering him the nap. Resist the urge to soothe or rock him to sleep. Remember: sleep begets sleep. Better the day naps, the better the night sleeping. Seems counterintuitive but it's the truth so don't fight it!

I'm sure you're doing great. There is certainly no perfect way to do it.Good luck!

This is great! Setting goals. I plan on doing that when I'm finished with school and ALL of my days aren't filled with, "go to school. do homework. make a mess. stress out. take a test. exercise. eat."

Good luck! You can do it. And by the way, you look great :)

Awesome Holly!!! I'm so glad Bruin is being good about it! That's the hardest part about working out, trying to figure out what to do with the little one! You look great! I need to start writing my new goals for the year... and each week plan! It really does make you feel better eachday when you have a purpose! Love you!

Doesn't working out make you feel so great? It gives me enough energy to clean up after Todd...Maybe you could get one of those electronic planner things. They look cool. Then you could play games in church...which I'm sure goes along with your spiritual goals.:)

Good for you Holly! I need to get going and make some goals and get organized as well. I just feel like I have no time with school and our little guy.
