I'm just copying and pasting the story I wrote for my family on our website :)
Came in at 6:30 to the hospital and had to wait awhile for a bed to open. Very full maternity ward. Checked my cervix and I was already dilated to a 4. Put me on pitocin at 9am and I began contracting a lot. I just sat and watched a Redbox I got that morning on my portable DVD player and read a book until Phil and Brittney got there. Got my epidural around 12. Phil was allowed to watch this time, although he didn't give them much of a choice.. I had some kidney pain still but I generally felt good. My midwife came in around 12:30 and broke my water. It literally GUSHED out so much it soaked everything in sight. Way more water than is usual. I understood finally why my belly had been sticking out so far and why I had gotten so many stretch marks this time!
Hung out with Phil and Brittney watching "Blindside" until I felt him descend down and they called the doctor and I called my mom and she headed over (my Dad came home early from work and was able to watch Bruin and be buddies for the day )
Once my midwife got there I tried pushing a few times but couldnt get anywhere. The baby was facing posterior meaning face up instead of face down (NOT breach) so they had me get up on my bed and get into some interesting positions to get him to turn around in my belly. He turned (the nurse felt it) and I sat back down and a bunch more water came out ( I was seriously water bogged inside!) From then it took 7 minutes of pushing and an episiotomy and he arrived!
That night was real scary. He kept choking up and they had to run in and give him oxygen and suck out his throat until finally they took him away and had a doctor suck out his stomach with some tubes. They kept him in the nursery all night so someone could keep a vigilant watch on him, which was nice because it meant I could sleep and try to recover without worrying about him all night.
We are now home and doing well. Not sleeping much but that's to be expected! Bruin is very interested in Crew and tries to lay on him and poke his eyes. Mostly though he just wants my attention and is getting more needy and clingy to Phil and I. Hopefully he will calm down soon. It was so weird though seeing Bruin for the first time when he came to visit me in the hospital because he looked HUGE to me! He is such a cutie and will be a great big brother once Crew is big enough to interact with him!
Morning of

And Bruin's been having all kinds of fun with his family and friends surrounding the event. Phil took him to the Father/Sons Campout the night we got home from the hospital and he had fun camping for the first time.
