Me and the Boys

My sister Kristen is a Rockin Photographer.   She treated me and the boys to a photo shoot last fall and I'm just getting around to posting them :)

I love my boys.  They are my handsome little boyfriends.  Bruin does not let a day go by that he doesn't tell me I am the best mom ever, or that he thinks I'm so pretty, or tells me he thinks about me all the time and how much he loves me :)  Melts my heart that kid.  And Crew... he's become such a snuggly little bug! He is so silly and makes me laugh every single day.  I thank my Heavenly Father every day for those kids.  I need them.

Things have been hard lately.  I've kind of fallen off of the blog bandwagon because honestly, I don't know what to write.  I've always tried to be real on this blog, and not be one of those women who just paints a pretty picture of their family to make other people depressed when they read it.
Pretty sure I've had a few ugly posts.
Exhibit A.  Exhibit B.  Exhibit C .
Is it just me or does it seem there are a zillion blogs that make you question, how in the world they keep it all together with their crafty creations, creative mommy activities, and beautiful love story marriage?  Yeah, I stopped reading those blogs long ago.

TRUTH IS, life is full of challenges with little key moments in between that make it all worth it.  Right now life is hard.  Marriage is hard.  Phil and I have really struggled the last few years and especially these last few months to keep our little family together.  We've been thrown all kinds of curve balls and we're just hanging on trying to work things out.  Thankfully we have supportive friends and family and counselors.  But its hard!  So if this blog seems kind of dead, its just because I don't know quite what to say that is genuine. But I'll try to at least post some pictures here and there of the key moments that make life good.

Christmas 2012

This Christmas was our first one we spent with just our little family.  We loaded our Christmas tree on top our car and headed down to Zermatt in Midway where we swam, drank hot chocolate, played in the snow and anticipated Santa's arrival.

Phil was sure the tree would have no needles on it by the time we got there and I almost couldn't convince him to bring it.  So glad we did.  It survived just fine!

                                                          Christmas Morning

When Bruin came into our room that morning he had already performed an investigation.. He reported, the cookies were almost all eaten, the milk and lettuce were gone, the stockings were full and on the ground, and presents appeared under the tree. "I think he's been here mom."

We played with toys the rest of the day with the boys and actually, I really enjoyed building things with their new legos :)
