Hot Summa

The awful heat has engulfed Fresno and we have been enduring it by eating ice cream, bbquing and swimming. I can't wait for July and August to be over and our amazing weather to come back!
We are doing well and keeping busy. Phil has been playing ward softball and getting some football in here and there, which keeps him happy. Actually our friends, the Hansens, invited us to play volleyball on our date night last weekend and we had such a blast! I even got a knee burn I was so dedicated to my team LOL. I was pooped out though by the end so we are hoping to play more often, so I'll have to find some knee pads :) Here are a few pics of our recent doings


Bruin HATED swimming until this week and now he wants to go all the time. I even hear him talking about it in his room when he is supposed to be sleeping... "1-2-3 JUMP!... Shark!!.." Phil loves to throw him and dunk him... very dad thing to do I guess..

Target Britney

Why is it that a kid-free trip to Target with an iPod blasting Britney Spears makes me feel like a whole new person? It does. At least for a day or two :)

Family and Friends

Last weekend we took a trip down to the L.A. area to see my cousins and family that had flown in from Pennsylvania. I think it had been about 12 years since I had last seen them so it was very cool to see my cousins all grown up and reconnect with my aunt and uncle.


Some of our best friends, the Barneys, also live near there in Fullerton so we got to stay with them and catch up (and scare them away from having more kids, LOL!)
Bruin and Grace got to rekindle their relationship as well. Marriage plans have already been made. Oh and Bruin decided to leak out of his diaper onto every pair of PJs we brought so we had to borrow some of Grace's which were a lovely shade of pink!
We had great food and great laughs and came home exhausted from the fun weekend!

The 4th

Things are going okay here. I am finding out just how much harder two is than one so that has been an adjustment. Thank goodness the Lord watches over us though and Phil has been working in town the last few weeks and has been able to help me stay somewhat sane. I keep telling him we are done with TWO kids, but he doesn't believe me. We shall see :)

We spent our 4th of July with the Devlin and Stokes' families and enjoyed bbq food and fireworks with the kiddos. We caught a few pics to document the night
