Dear Diary

I couldn't sleep the other night and I ended up buying a crib set online. Isn't it fun?! I'm not into the cutsie teddy bear/baby cartoon things that most crib sets look like, and definitely not up to spending $200 on a designer one so I just never got one for Bruin. He had a white bumper and cream colored sheet. Done. But I saw this one online at Walmart.com for $69 and although its kind of a busy pattern and I'll probably substitute the striped crib sheet for Bruins cream colored one, I couldn't stop thinking about it cuz I loved how modern and gender neutral it was. Sooo out comes the credit card at 3 in the morning and bam... got me some bedding for the Casper posterity.

In other news...
I went to the doc yesterday, (gained another 5lbs but that doesn't matter to me anymore right?) and my midwife said as soon as my body shows signs of labor progress (effacement and dilation) she'll set an induction date with me. No sense putting me into a c-section situation and all. Sooo I'm cheering on my body and looking forward to my weekly appointments with those wonderful measurement checks they do...

As for Bruin, he is now sleeping in a "big boy bed" much to my dismay. We had to switch rooms with him last weekend so that we could have the walk-in closet for the baby and in the process Phil had to take off the front of Bruin's crib to fit it through the doorway. Well he discovered the toddler bed attachment to the crib and decided he'd put that on instead and tough luck mom, suck up the tears, his son will learn to sleep in a big boy bed. I am peeved but dealing and Bruin is doing so-so. He'll get up 2 or 3 times in the night and cry at the door but will go right back to sleep when you put him back in and sing a round of Old McDonald. My sleeping in til 8:15 days are over though and that makes a very unhappy me. Sigh. Someday sleep will enter my life again... I only have to wait, let's see 15 more years or so?....

And last and yes, least, Phil and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary yesterday. I say least cuz he was working out of town and I watched a movie in bed all alone. Lame. We'll at least try to go out on a date this weekend and get some PF Changs or something.
Now I must go and finish the movie I fell asleep watching before I get charged another Redbox dollar. Hopefully Bruin will stay in his bed his entire nap so I can finish it. Ciao!

Holly I have to tell you when I put Taden in his toddler bed I was freaking out, but I did the supernanny methoud and it totally works! Taden still to this day will not get out of bed until i go get him or call his name and tell him to come here! It only took seriously two days of trying and now its perfection!!! so let me know if you want any hints on keeping him in his bed!! I can actually say that was the ONE thing I did right with him!!! Bed time is always a breeze! Thats how it should be!

Love the bedding! So cute! And I like the stripes too :) I bought a crib sheet for Tessa's bedding yesterday... been thinking about the rest of the room, think I may make a crib skirt and skip out on a bumper. So fun!

Okay jealously has hit me. Just hearing that you are already to set an induction date! When is your official due date again? I love your crib set too. Happy Anniversary! Sorry you had to spend it alone.

Phil, I think the bedding is cute! What is this super nanny method mentioned by Zane?

I've already reached my weight I gained with Zack and I still have like 8 weeks left. Ugh. Just remember we can get lipo, tummy tucks, boob jobs and whatever we want after all the kids! Oh, and a bladder lift. :)
