Yes, there are FOUR boats in this pic!Last week was the annual Priest Lake trip where we get to play at Phil's family cabin in northern Idaho. We look forward to this trip EVERY year and are never disappointed! .... (well except last year for me, I was 9 months preggo- No Tubing for me). Before the cabin though, we got to spend a few days in Washington hanging with family and visiting friends. Of course, Bruin decided THE DAY WE GOT THERE to suddenly be afraid of everyone and cling to mom and dad all day long. Total separation anxiety full force. He has never done this and has always been super friendly and outgoing and not care if we left the room. I felt really bad for Phil's family because they thought maybe he didn't like them cuz he'd cry and want down every time they picked him up. It got so bad that along with him having a fever, diarrhea, finicky appetite and crankiness, we decided to take him to an urgent care and see if something was wrong. $95.00 later with a diagnosis of CRANKY BABY. We were so mad. The doctor made us feel really stupid too and hardly looked at Bruin. WHATEVER!
On the way home from the urgent care we stopped at Josh and Jade's house to visit with them and Max. Max decided to cheer Bruin up by giving him a joy ride on his 4wheeler. It was sooo funny! We got a quick clip of some of the ride:
We were also able to visit the Barneys who are living in Moses Lake for the summer. The guys went golfing, OF COURSE, and then we went to dinner, watched the Bachelorette, and went hottubbing when the kids went down. No pictures of course because these days they are all of the kids (which I'll post on Bruin's blog).
Back at the house Bruin loved Grandma and Grandpa Caspers house because they had LOTS of raspberries to eat and a big friendly dog, Chip. Poor Chip took all the hair pulling, tail pulling, ear pulling, eye poking, in without batting an eye.
Later we invited a bunch of friends for dinner and a competitive volleyball game in the backyard. IT WAS SO FUN! The Barneys were there, Benny Walker, Jason and Karen McGary, Tyler and Courtney, and of course the babies, who were crying in their playpen the entire time instead of pleasantly watching and playing with each other as we planned. Oh well! The game went on amidst the chorus of wailing.
The four hour drive to Priest Lake went by in a flash and then the week began with a bang... A crack actually. Yes, the first morning I woke up I broke my left pinky toe walking down the stairs. So sad. It was bruised and swollen and I just taped it to the other toes and counted my losses. No going to the doctor for that one. Diagnosis: BROKEN TOE $95.00 -Keep off of it.
BUT I still went tubing and had fun, just had to be more cautious and not jump and tackle so much :) There was nighttubing with glow in the dark sticks, barefooting, wakeboarding, skiing, amazing food, family pictures and of course more golfing for Phil.

Bruin's diet consisted mostly of licorice, cheetos, and ice cream in the attempts to win him over by many but I tried to get some real food in there somewhere. And he decided to wake up between 5 and 5:30am every single morning and with someone sleeping on every floor space and bed we had to play with him quietly in bed and try to get him to fall back asleep with us. That stinker. This was us every morning
Thanks Caspers for another amazing Priest Lake vacation!

Sounds like you guys had a blast! We really wish we could have gone. Oh well, at least we got to hang out a little bit. And at least I beat Phil at golf... haha.
Wow what a fun vacation. I remember when I used to do fun things like that and now I am always pregnant or just a flat pansy! I was a nice surprise to see you guys while you were in WA. Sorry to hear about your toe hope you heal quickly!
Everyone gets lucky now and again Royce... We played badminton too, and met my new future bro in law. The food was unreal, sooo good. Calaways and Harkers were alot of fun. Priest Lake is without question my favorite place in the world. Phil
