Bruin and I have had a traumatic past few days. Yesterday morning Bruin had his "baby boy" surgery. I opted to wait in the waiting room instead of watch because I had already almost cried twice just getting him undressed for it! I think he knew what was coming cuz when they came in to get him he began making a nasty in his diaper. We had to wait til he was done and changed for them to finally take him. When I came in to get him after the procedure he was crying and there was puke all next to him, it was the saddest moment of my mommy life. So I spent the rest of the day holding him and very carefully changing diapers.
At around 6pm I was feeling exhausted and decided to take a nap while Phil watched him. I had the chills and sweats the entire time and didn't know what was wrong. When I got up I was wasted so I took my temperature and it was 102.5 Turns out I have mastitis, an infection from nursing, which feels like a bad flu. On top of that I hadn't been taking the iron supplements my doctor prescribed for my low hemoglobin count so I had no energy. Thank goodness for moms in times like these. My mom came over and stayed up all night with Bruin while I tossed and turned in bed, sweating then freezing then sweating. I had to wait until 10:30 this morning to see my doctor and get antibiotics but I am finally feeling better. So along with my Darvocet and Ibuprofen for pain, I'm taking iron pills, antibiotics, stool softeners, and prenatals. My mom and I sat down tonight and planned out a time schedule to take them all because of all the restrictions with certain foods, etc. So that's whats going on in our lives right now! hah! Hopefully the worst is over and mommy and son will be happy and healthy soon

oh you poor thing, mastitis can't be any fun. Hope it clears up soon. The circumcision isn't fun huh? There is no way I would have watched it either, thank goodness that part is all over with. He is sure cute.
ugh! That sucks. I haven't ever had that soooo I hope it gets better fast. Bruin is looking cute! I surprised they didn't fix him at the hospital when he was born? Poor guy they always cry so much it breaks your heart. Hope everything else is going good.
I am so glad you went and got an electric pump. THose hand ones just don't get it all out. PLus it'll be so much faster for you.

Oh Holly! Im so sorry! What a sad time! I hope you feel normal soon! It took me two weeks to stop crying from all the hormone changes! Bruin is absolutly the most handsome little boy I have ever seen!
bruin is sooo darling! i couldn't change carsons diaper the first couple of times after his circumcision because it looked so painful and i got so sad! im sorry about the mastitis...ive heard thats awful. before you know it though you will be feeling like your old self again! feel better! bruin really is so handsome!
Oh Holly! I'm so sorry! I hope you are feeling better. How is Bruin doing with the "surgery"? Are you still really sore? Yes, I'm going to school this fall, but I'm only taking two classes. I got an electric pump and that's what i'm doing now. It takes too long for Zack to eat, so this saves me like four hours at night. Breastfeeding sort of sucks, ya know? Bruin so adorable.
Congrats Phil and Holly! What a special thing to have a little baby. It goes by so fast..I'm sure you hear that tons! No fun with all the pills and pain, it goes away thank goodness!! Those pumps are amazing aren't they?! Bruin is darling by the way! Take care

that sounds horrible!! I hope things get better for you soon!! You are going to be such a great mom Holly!! He's a cute baby boy and I like the name Bruin!!
